Family Counselling

The decision to move a loved family member from in-home care to aged-care can be a challenging one to make. Quite often, needs can escalate quickly, creating significant emotional stress for families. Sometimes, families may not have adequate time to assess and find a suitable aged care provider. We are here to help.

At Holloway House, we understand that the easier it is for you to manage this process, the easier it will be for your loved one to transition to aged care. We provide a Dedicated Relationship Manager to every family, who will work with you to make it as easy and stress-free as possible.

Your Relationship Manager will support you and your family through every step of the aged-care journey.

When time permits, Holloway will work with you ahead of time to prepare a transition plan. This may also include short-term respite care, to acquaint your loved one with our facility, staff and residents. However, we also understand that life can be unpredictable and that circumstances can change with very little notice. For those urgent situations where a family does not have the luxury of time to plan (for example when moving from hospital care to aged care), we can provide a priority onboarding process to help you solve your immediate care needs.

We actively involve family members in decision making around care for their loved ones, and go above and beyond to enable families to enjoy their time loved ones. In the case of couples in care, we always aim to keep couples together, providing the privacy they need to enjoy each other's company in a safe and supportive family environment.
